Privacy statement

Windwheel Corporation processes personal data so that it can provide its products and services. We act in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in order to guarantee that your data is processed carefully and your privacy remains safeguarded. The GDPR refers to the party responsible for your personal data as the Data Controller. When you use our products or services, or when you collaborate with us or enter into a business relationship with us, we become the Data Controller for certain personal data of yours upon its exchange or processing.

This privacy statement serves to inform you about our policy, how the Windwheel Corporation handles your personal data and how we put our obligations as a Data Controller into practice. In addition, we would like to familiarise you with your rights pertaining to your personal data processed by Windwheel Corporation.

1. What personal data do we process?

Upon registration for the Dutch Windwheel newsletter

You have registered for the Dutch Windwheel newsletter through our website (www.dutchwindwheel.com). In order to send you this newsletter, we require certain information from you. The following personal data is processed in order to register you for our newsletter:

  • Your first and last name
  • Your company
  • Your email address
  • Your organisation
  • Your telephone number

Upon completing the form for potential business partners

You have indicated your interest in becoming a business partner of the Dutch Windwheel through the website (www.dutchwindwheel.com). We ask that you provide certain information in order for us to include your data in a database. The following personal data is processed in order to register you as a potential business partner:

  • Your first and last name
  • Your company
  • Your email address
  • Your organisation
  • Your telephone number

Upon completing the form for potential residents of the Dutch Windwheel

You have indicated your interest in becoming a resident of the Dutch Windwheel through the website (www.dutchwindwheel.com). In order to store your data in a database, we require certain information from you. The following personal data is processed in order to register you as a potential business partner:

  • Your first and last name
  • Your company
  • Your email address
  • Your organisation
  • Your telephone number

2. Why do we process this personal data?

Either you are an existing network relationship of ours or you have indicated your interest or desire to remain in the loop with regards to one or several of our services or activities. In order to keep you posted, we need to process certain persona data of yours.

The Windwheel Corporation does not process any more data than strictly necessary to guarantee the above. The purpose of any data processing pertaining to our products and services is:

  • Customer or network relationship registration
  • Providing information about developments that are relevant to you with a newsletter and/or mailings

We will not use your data for these two purposes without your permission.

3. Is your personal data shared with third parties?

The Windwheel Corporation only shares your data with third parties if this is necessary for the execution of the aforementioned product and service delivery. Agreements about your privacy are captured in a processing agreement that is concluded with each party your data may be shared with.

4. For how long is your data stored?

If a statutory period exists for processing certain personal data, the Windwheel Corporation shall store this data at least for as long as prescribed by the law and/or no longer than legally prescribed.

However, such a statutory period does not exist for most of the personal data processed by the Windwheel Corporation. Personal data pertaining to your account shall be stored in your account for no longer than 10 years after your last account activity. Once that period has passed, your personal data will be erased irreversibly.

Data collected for marketing and commercial purposes shall be stored for as long as you remain registered as a customer or network relationship of the Windwheel Corporation.

5. What are your rights?

When we process your personal data, the GDPR indicates you as a Data Subject. As a Data Subject, you have various rights pertaining to your privacy protection. You may contact us as your Data Controller at any time in order to exercise your rights. Below you will find information about how to get in touch.

As a Data Subject, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access: access to your personal data that we possess and process;
  • Right to rectification: the right to have any inaccurate data or information in our possession corrected;
  • Right to erasure: the right to have us erase your personal data in our possession and processed by us;
  • Right to object: the right to object the processing of your personal data for a justified interest or direct marketing.

If you want to exercise any of the aforementioned rights, please send an email to info@bloc.nl. In order to determine your identity and ensure that the request is really made by yourself, we ask that you include a copy of your identification document (ID card or passport). To ensure that your privacy is safeguarded during this process as well, we ask that you scramble the photo, Citizen Service Number (series of numbers, letters and characters at the bottom of your passport). We will inform you as soon as your request is being processed and aim to respond to your request within four weeks.

6. Complaints

If you are unhappy with our response or the way we have handled your question or comment, and you believe that we are handling your data in an unlawful manner, you can file a report with the Data Protection Authority. The Data Protection Authority enforces the privacy legislation for the government.
